HI-LO
HI-LO
- HI and LO are the most basic way of betting on the future direction of the fictitious asset price.
- They are the most simple strategies on offer and they are a very good starting point for the first time gambler trying out virtual financials betting.
- The target level is always the current fictitious price so if one were to place a 'HI' bet then the price at the end of the bet has to be higher than the price when the bet was placed.
- In the above image are three HI-LO bets; the first a 'HI' followed a 'LO' then another 'HI'. bets.
- The blue circle with an upward pointing arrow indicates that the first bet placed is a 'HI'. The horizontal blue dashed line is the target level which was the price when the bet was placed. Therefore the price must be higher than 6,688.5 at the 'Finishing Line'.
- The same logic applies to the two following bets.
- The red-backed current price (on the right-hand scale) shows 6,689.1.
- The first 'HI' is winning with Cash Out amount $1.36; the 'LO' is losing with Cash Out $0.70; the second 'HI' is winning with Cash Out of $1.53.

- The same logic illustrates the following two 'LO' bets.
- The red-backed current price (on the right-hand scale) shows 6,708.9.
- The 'HI' is winning with Cash Out amount $1.73; the first 'LO' is losing with Cash Out $0.53; the third bet, another 'LO' is just winning with Cash Out of $1.06.
HI-300
HI-300
- The HI-300 offers a target level ABOVE the current price.
- If HI is chosen (290% return) the price must be ABOVE the target level at the end of the bet for the player to win.
- If LO is chosen (30.0% return) the price must be BELOW the target level at the end of the bet for the player to win.
- In the above image the price is 6,692.4 and the first 'LO' target level is 6,692.5. The next 'HI' target level is 6,691.9 while the second 'LO' target level is 6,693.4.
- The term of the bet is 2 minutes (top left) of which there are 3 seconds remaining.
- The Cash Outs available for each bet are $0.67, $3.39 and $1.19.
- The target level is always pitched at the level where there is a 25% chance of the price being ABOVE it and a 75% chance of the price being BELOW it.
- The gap between the price and the target level narrows over time so you will notice the latest price on the right is much closer to the target (blue shaded area) than the price on the far left. This is to keep a constant probability of the price being ABOVE the blue line at 25%.
- The HI-300 offers a target level ABOVE the current price.
- In the adjacent image there are 3 bets: price is 6,736.6 and the target levels are 6,732.4 (HI), 6,734.65 (LO) and 6,735.4 (LO).
- The term of the bet is 2 minutes (top left) and the bets have just been settled as no 'Cash Out's executed.
- The banner that has popped up at the end of the bet provides a breakdown on how the three bets got on.
- HI is chosen (290% return) the price must be ABOVE the target level at the end of the bet for the player to win.
- 2 x LO were chosen (30.0% return) whereby the price must be BELOW the target level at the end of the bet for the player to win.
- The target level is always pitched to the level where there is a 25% chance of the asset price being above it and a 75% chance of it being below it.
- The gap between the price and the target level narrows over time so you will notice the latest price on the right is much closer to the target (blue shaded area) than the price on the far left. This is to keep a constant probability of the price being above the blue line at 25%.
LO-300
LO-300
- The opposite of the HI-300
- The LO-300 offers a target level BELOW the price.
- If LO is chosen (290% return) the price must be BELOW the target level at the end of the bet for the player to win.
- If HI is chosen (30.0% return) the price must be ABOVE the target level at the end of the bet for the player to win.
- In the above image the price is 6,692.0 and the 'HI' target level is 6,690.5. The 'LO' target level is 6,690.7.
- The term of the bet is 2 minutes (top left) of which there are 43 seconds remaining.
- The Cash Outs available for each bet are $1.04 and $0.71 which reflects the HI is winning and the LO is losing.
- The target level is always pitched at the level where there is a 25% chance of the price being below it and a 75% chance of the price being above it.
- The gap between the price and the target level narrows over time so you will notice the latest price on the right is much closer to the target (blue shaded area) than the price on the far left. This is to keep a constant probability of the price being below the blue line at 25%.
- The opposite of the HI-300
- The LO-300 offers a target level BELOW the price.
- In the adjacent image the price is 6,757.9 and the target level is 6,757.17.
- The term of the bet is 30 seconds (top left) of which there are 9 seconds remaining.
- If LO is chosen (290% return) the price must be BELOW the target level at the end of the bet for the player to win.
- If HI is chosen (30.0% return) the price must be ABOVE the target level at the end of the bet for the player to win.
- The target level is always pitched at the level where there is a 25% chance of the price being below it and a 75% chance of the price being above it.

HI CRASH-200
HI CRASH-200
- The HI CRASH-200 offers a target level ABOVE the current price.
- If CRASH is chosen (193% return) the price must TOUCH or be ABOVE the target level at any time prior to the end of the bet for the player to win.
- If NO-CRASH is chosen (46.3% return) the price must not touch the target level at any time prior to the end of the bet for the player to win.
- In the above screenshot there are 4 bets; 2 x CRASH, 2 x NO-CRASH.
- The price is 6,692.8 and the targets in chronological order of the bets being placed are 6,694.9, 6,694.2, 6,695.0 and 6,694.0.
- The term of the bet is 5 minutes (top left) of which there are 11 seconds remaining.
- Following the initial bet (CRASH) the price rose but nothing like enough to win, Cash Out $0.07.
- The second CRASH bet has fared almost as badly and now the Cash Out is just $0.40.
- Both 'NO CRASH's are winning with respective Cash Outs of $1.39 and $1.09.
- The gap between the price and the target level narrows over time so that the latest price on the right is closer to the target level than the price on the far left. This is to keep the chances of the player winning constant which in turn means there is no advantage or disadvantage gained or lost by trading early or late.
- In the adjacent screenshot there are 4 bets; 3 x NO-CRASH, 1 x CRASH.
- The price is 6,746.5 and the targets are 6,751.5, 6,752.3, 6,752.9 and 6,749.9.
- The term of the bet is 5 minutes (top left) of which there are 2 minutes 35 seconds remaining.
- Following the initial bet (NO-CRASH) the price rose to its peak of 6,750.1 during two more NO-CRASH bets were placed.
- The price subsequently fell so the player limited their risk by placing a CRASH bet. This last bet lost 1 tinyBit to be offset by 3 x 0.463 = 1.39 tinyBits. Assuming 1 tinyBit equates to roughly $1 the player ultimately made 0.39 cents.
- The gap between the price and the target level narrows over time so that the latest price on the right is closer to the target level than the price on the far left. This is to keep the chances of the player winning constant which in turn means there is no advantage or disadvantage gained or lost by trading early or late.
LO CRASH-200
LO CRASH-200
- The opposite of the HI CRASH-200
- The LO CRASH-200 offers a target level BELOW the current price.
- If CRASH is chosen (193% return) the price must TOUCH or be BELOW the target level at any time prior to the end of the bet for the player to win.
- If NO CRASH is chosen (46.3% return) the price must not touch the target level at any time prior to the end of the bet for the player to win.
- In the above screenshot the price is 6,689.8 and the target is 6,689.2 and a NO CRASH bet was placed.
- The term of the bet is just 2 minutes (top left) of which there are 4 seconds remaining.
- The price has fallen since the bet was placed but Cash Out is still showing $1.10 indicating the bet is likely to win.
- The gap between the price and the target level narrows over time so that the latest price on the right is closer to the target level than the price on the far left. This is to keep the chances of the player winning constant which in turn means there is no advantage or disadvantage gained or lost by trading early or late.
- The opposite of the HI CRASH-200
- The LO CRASH-200 offers a target level BELOW the current price.
- If LO is chosen (193% return) the price must TOUCH or be BELOW the target level at any time prior to the end of the bet for the player to win.
- If HI is chosen (46.3% return) the price must not touch the target level at any time prior to the end of the bet for the player to win.
- In the adjacent screenshot the price is 6,760.3 and the target is 6,758.5 and a LO bet was placed.
- The term of the bet is just 30 seconds (top left) of which there are 8 seconds remaining.
- The price has risen a great deal since the bet was placed so the probability of the price reaching the target is almost zero. This is now reflected by Cash Out offering just $0.01.
- The gap between the price and the target level narrows over time so that the latest price on the right is closer to the target level than the price on the far left. This is to keep the chances of the player winning constant which in turn means there is no advantage or disadvantage gained or lost by trading early or late.
IN-OUT
IN-OUT
- The IN-OUT presents two target levels, one ABOVE and one BELOW the current price between which the price must be at the end of the bet.
- In the above screenshot the price is 6,688.4 with target levels of the first bet, an 'IN' bet, of 6,691.1 and 6,680.0. The 'OUT' bets have target levels of 6,691.4 and 6,688.4 & 6,690.3 and 6,688.2.
- The term of the bet is 2 minutes (top left) of which there are 25 secs remaining.
- The 'IN' bet is winning (Cash Out $1.25), the first OUT bet has price sitting on the lower target so pretty much a 50:50 bet (Cash Out $0.97), the second OUT bet is losing (Cash Out $0.82) with price still above the lower target.
- The target levels are always based on their being a 25% probability for the price being ABOVE the upper target and 25% probability of the price being BELOW the lower target at the end of the bet.
- The gap between the two target levels narrows over time so the target level's gap on the left is far wider than the gap on the right. This is to keep the chances of the player winning constant.
- The target levels are delineated in green to show the price can venture into the red area prior to the bet's end, although the price MUST be between the target levels at expiry of the bet.
- The IN-OUT presents two target levels, one ABOVE and one BELOW the current price between which the price must be at the end of the bet.
- In the adjacent screenshot the price is 6,657.5 with target levels of an 'IN' bet of 6,662.0 and 6,659.2 and an 'OUT' bet of 6,658.0 and 6,656.9.
- The term of the bet is 5 minutes (top left) of which there are 15 secs remaining.
- The 'IN' bet is an obvious loser with Cash Out of only $0.02; the later 'OUT' has a Cash Out of $0.90 so could go either way.
DOUBLE CRASH
DOUBLE CRASH
- The DOUBLE CRASH also presents two target levels, one ABOVE and one BELOW the current price.
- If a NO CRASH, the price must always remain between the target levels right up until the end of the bet otherwise the player immediately gets KO'd.. So, unlike the IN-OUT, the price cannot encroach into the red area prior to the end of the bet.
- If a CRASH bet as soon as either target level is hit the bet wins.
- In the above screenshot the price is 6,685.5 with NO CRASH target levels of 6,686.7 & 6,683.0 and CRASH levels of 6,686.8 & 6,683.8. The term of the bet is 2 minutes (top left) of which there are 25 secs remaining.
- The price is still close to the middle point of the NO CRASH target levels so has a Cash Out of $1.15. Unfortunately the same can be said of the CRASH bet so it is losing with Cash Out $0.80.
- The DOUBLE CRASH also presents two target levels, one ABOVE and one BELOW the current price. In this case the price must always remain between the target levels right up until the end of the bet otherwise the player immediately gets KO'd.. So, unlike the IN-OUT, the price cannot encroach into the red area prior to the end of the bet.
- In the adjacent screenshot the price is 6,658.3 with target levels of 6,660.6 & 6,651.4 and 6,660.5 & 6,652.6. The term of the bet is 5 minutes (top left) of which there are 2 mins 03 secs remaining.
- The player is offered a return of 95.1% on both CRASH and NO-CRASH bets.
- The horizontal blue dashed lines represent the target levels of the NO-CRASH bet while the horizontal red dashed lines represent the CRASH target levels.
- The NO CRASH Cash Out is offering $1.09 while the CRASH Cash Out is offering $0.84.
- The maximum the bet can lose now is $1 - $0.951 = $0.049.
CASH-OR-CRASH
CASH-OR-CRASH
- A CASH-OR-CRASH bet has a target level ABOVE and BELOW the current price.
- 'HI' - If the price hits the upper target level then the player immediately wins. If the price hits the lower target level then the player immediately loses.
- 'LO' - If the price hits the lower target level then the player immediately wins. If the price hits the upper target level then the player immediately loses.
- In the above screenshot the price is 6,683.6 with a 'HI' bet having target levels of 6,684.1 & 6,681.5. The 'LO' has target levels of 6,684.0 & 6,681.6.
- The term of the bet is 2 minutes (top left) of which there are 1 min 15 seconds remaining.
- With price moving close to both the IN and OUT bet's upper target level the HI has an increased chance of winning (Cash Out $1.61) and the LO of losing (Cash Out $0.24). As it turned out the price went through both levels during one second's price movement meaning the HI won and the LO lost at the same instant.
- The gap between the two target levels and the price are equal. This means that there remains a 50:50 chance of winning or losing.
- If the price hits neither target levels the player is returned the stake less a small percentage of the stake.
- The CASH-OR-CRASH presents a target level ABOVE and BELOW the current price.
- 'HI' - If the price hits the upper target level then the player immediately wins. If the price hits the lower target level then the player immediately loses.
- 'LO' - If the price hits the lower target level then the player immediately wins. If the price hits the upper target level then the player immediately loses.
- In the adjacent screenshot the price is 6,741.4 with target levels of 6,741.5 and 6,737.5.
- The initial 'HI' bet has just won. The previous price just passed through the upper target before immediately dropping back below it. Nevertheless, the banner acknowledges the player has, on this occasion, won.
- The term of the bet is 5 minutes (top left) of which there are 3 min 15 seconds remaining.
- The gap between the two target levels and the price are equal. This means that there remains a 50:50 chance of winning or losing.
- If the price hits neither target levels the player is returned the stake less a small percentage of the stake.
